Last October, BoldGrid attended WordCamp Phoenix and loved every minute of it. So, with this year’s show starting much earlier in the year (Friday, February 16, 2018), we could not wait to send our own MikeDemo out into the field once more to take in the sights and sounds of WordCamp Phoenix.
This year’s theme involves a cute throwback to the golden age of air travel, with retro-inspired airline themes throughout their site. Reading about the event will make you feel as though you should pack your best suit in preparation for hopping onto a TWA flight into the past. They have even taken to calling their various sponsors “Partner Airlines” and ranking donation levels by names like “First Class,” “Business Class,” “Economy,” “Coach,” and so forth.
This year’s event runs from Friday, February 16, until Saturday, February 17, and takes place once again at Galvanize Phoenix. For those not already familiar with Galvanize, it provides a really unique technology and learning space right in the heart of the Warehouse District of Downtown Phoenix. It has theaters, classrooms, workshop rooms…pretty much everything a WordCamp could ever need for a successful event.
BoldGrid serves as a proud sponsor (err, “Economy Plus passenger” / “Partner Airline?”) for this event. Our own MikeDemo will give his famous, informative, and always entertaining “Duck Talk” about a/b testing during Saturday’s session. While we will not have a booth this year, MikeDemo will attend the entire event, happy to share information about BoldGrid with everyone he meets. Of course, the rest of the event is packed with other great speakers and presentations, as well, targeted at WordPress users of all levels.
You can get more information about the schedule, speakers, and purchase tickets on the WordCamp Phoenix website. Tickets include admission to the event, free lunch, snacks, and drinks during the event and at Saturday’s after party at Phoenix Public Market Café. Of course, guests will also have access to all kinds of fun swag and goodies from both the event and its sponsors.
So, we hope to see you at WordCamp Phoenix this weekend!
