GuestI am trying to port a site created in BoldGrid to its final home. WordPress has been installed on the new site and updated to the latest version. I went through the steps to export a backup in BoldGrid described here
When I try to import the Zip file in WordPress, this is what I get:
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: boldgrid-backup-demo.boldgrid.com_trial-1ca62803-46fe9238-20181112-030104.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin installation failed.
The BoldGrid account is my partner’s and she designed the site. I’m just trying to get it installed. However the words “demo” and “trial” in the filename are flags. Is this from some kind of limited account that can’t be transferred? Or is something else going on?

GuestHello wdolson.
Thank you for posting your question regarding migrating your BoldGrid website. I’m sorry to see that you are experiencing issues with this process. It appears that the message is indicating you are attempting to install a plugin using that backup file. You will need to install the BoldGrid backup plugin and restore it through that plugin using the file. The guide you included in your question includes those instructions.
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Carlos D

GuestI guess I misread the instructions. It looked like it said the zip contained the plugin. I installed the plugin separately and got it to work.
Thanks
