Hi! I am using the BOLDGRID THEME HYDRA. I am trying to customize the homepage widget called “row call-to-action-wrapper”. I’d like there to be a gray background behind the white text so it pops out more. How can I do this?

Thanks for posting your question regarding customizing the Widget on your homepage. You should be able to edit the Widget using the Customizer tool. Are you experiencing an issue when using this tool?
Yes, the functions in the customizer are very limited. I am only able to achieve what I want using CSS but when I use “opacity” it also affects the text’s opacity.
For customizations that you are unable to make using the functionality of the Customizer, you will need to use the CSS Editor. I believe I just responded to another post you made regarding the opacity. As I understand, you can use the rgba() function for the background-color attribute to specify the opacity without affecting the text.
