Hi,
When I switch over from the staging site to an active site, I lose my background, and the formatting is completely different. Why is this, and how can I fix it?

The Active site is basically a separate site. So, if you make the staging site active, then it will be different based on what you have loaded there. The staging site is not supposed to be a duplicate of the active site.
Thank you. I realized that the custom theme was not changed either. I needed to do that too.
