I have been using the demo site to build a website and now I want to connect it to my domain. I bought InMotion hosting, I got the IP address and I’ve connected the GoDaddy domain to point to that IP address. How do I connect the BoldGrid demo site to the hosting?

Thanks for submitting a question about pointing your domain to the demo site. There are a few things you should test first before changing the DNS:
- Make sure the URL of the site works on your domain (not the “Temporary URL”)
- If not, change the WordPress URL to your domain
- If necessary, update internal links that may be pointing to the temporary URL
- Test this with a hosts file modification
Once you’re able to visit your site with your domain (using the hosts file modification) then it’s safe to point the nameservers to the new location at InMotion Hosting.
Once the process is complete, and the nameservers changed, you can undo the hosts file modification.
If you have trouble along the way, hosting support should be able to help. You’ll want to make sure everything is working before pointing the nameservers.
Best,
Christopher M.
