Hello Roberta,
Thank you for contacting us about adding drop-down menus to a main menu. Here is a link to our helpful guide on Working with Menus in BoldGrid. It explains how to add menus, then you can drag the menu to the right to make it a drop down of the menu above it.

Yes I did this, but the add items are showing as new main menu items rather than in the drop down under the main menu I want it under. When I go to customize, the drop downs are under the main menu, but the website is not adjusting. Thx
