Hello Mark,
Thank you for your question regarding the connect key error with new TLDs. I did not have access to a domain with one of the new extensions, but I was able to replicate the error with example.games. I have notified the development team, and I will update this thread when we have more information. In the meantime, if you wanted to go ahead and request the key with a different email, you can do so, the address used is not bound to anything specific with your installation. You could use virtually any email you have access to. The email address serves only as a box to receive the key.
Best,
Christopher M.

July 20, 2017 at 3:16 pm #24027Anonymous UserMemberI just installed BoldGrid on my In-Motion hosted site and ran into a major snag. I can’t get a ConnectKey because the API says my e-mail address is invalid. My domain is example.games [actual domain redacted] and I ran into a problem with the host’s install script claiming that my domain isn’t valid. They recommended I use an alternate install method while they get their script sorted. Now I’m finding that the boldgrid API rejects the e-mail I provided. I strongly suspect the issue is the same here (i.e. the script needs to be updated to accept the new TLDs).
So, my question is: How do I get a key for my site when the script won’t accept my address?
I know that I could use a different address but that’s not a good solution. I would strongly prefer the key to be tied to an address on the domain it’s attached to.
