I have been able to establish a site, (I thought), yet when I try to look at it live, I get the following page:

THE LOCATION YOU REQUESTED DOES NOT EXIST.

The Cloud WordPress page you’re requesting does not exist. You can login to BoldGrid Central to create or manage any Cloud WordPress accounts.

I have logged out, cleared cache, logged back in, I see the development site, but always this same problem.

What do I need to do???

    Hi Andy-

From what you’ve described, it sounds like you were not logged into your BoldGrid Central account when you started setting up your site. Trial sites on Cloud WordPress only last for 48 hours, and are then deleted.

I checked on your BoldGrid Central account, and it doesn’t list any Cloud WordPress instances. Be sure you log in before setting up your site at https://www.boldgrid.com/central

I’ve opened an account under a different email. It now seems to be working, but I wonder if there is some confusion on the difference of a “trial” account and a permanent one? The URL now (the new one) still shows up including the term “trial” in the URL, as shown above. How can I ensure it does not disappear in 48 yours? The links are not clear on this on your site on differentiation.

Thanks for clearing this up. I really am looking for a solution for development, and this really seems to be that solution, but for now I am having some hiccups.

    Hi Andy-

The easiest way to make sure you’re working on a permanent site associated with your BoldGrid Central account is to navigate to the main Dashboard page, and check the Cloud WordPress information at the very top.

It will show an expiration date if it’s a temporary trial:

Is there a way to retrieve my deleted trial site?

    Hi Paul-

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry to say that once a trial site has expired or been deleted, there isn’t a recovery process for getting it back.

While you’re working, I highly recommend using the Total Upkeep Plugin for WordPress backups to save copies of your work as you go.
