I have three footers at the bottom of my site and a white border on a black background all around the three footers. I’d like to remove the border or change the color so that it effective is invisible to the matching background color. Thank you in advance for your help.

Which theme are you using? Have you tried adjusting the colors using the Customizer?

I’m using Evolv and I checked the customizer. The colors I have the option of changing do not include the white, also used on the text (it is a reverse type white on black template), on the border around the footer columns.

Unfortunately, if you are not able to change the color in the Customizer, it is part of the template. This means you would need to use custom CSS to code a solution or use a modified child theme to make the change. This would require familiarity with editing CSS. We have a helpful guide on how To Use Google Chrome Developer Tools to Customize CSS in BoldGrid if you want to proceed.

I have the same question.  I am using the vacation theme and using inspector I can see the white padding and border are in the well class and remove them using inspector but when I check the style.css there is no well class and writing my own well class and changing the padding and border to none!important still doesn’t change the site.  The site is carronhousefl.com and I would like the text widget to appear the same as the boldgrid text.

    What am I missing?

    Thank you for your question!

Instead of putting your CSS into the style.css file try using the custom CSS area available through the website Customizer.  This guide from our support center (https://www.boldgrid.com/support/using-the-boldgrid-theme-framework-customizer/how-to-use-the-custom-css-editor/) shows you how to access that tool and input your custom code.  I hope that helps you get your CSS working and please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to assist you.
