    Hello!

Great question. WordPress will not let you upload .SWF Flash files by default, due to the security risks of Flash.

It’s also worth mentioning that the major browsers are now blocking Flash content (and Adobe is officially killing the product in 2020), so your website visitors will have to take extra steps to view Flash content from your website.

That said, if you really do need Flash content, there are plugins available in the WordPress repository that will allow you to do this. Here are a few that I found from searching the repo. I haven’t used any of these, so I can’t officially recommend any of them, but you’re welcome to try them out. The following links will launch a new Cloud WordPress installation with each of the plugins installed.

Thank you for responding so quickly, Jesse.

The company who sold me this hosting package assured me that I would be able to upload my flash files.  The ability to add my dashboards to my site is a critical need that was discussed with the salesperson.  This is quite disappointing to discover now that what he told me is not true – he said there was a built-in component that would allow me to easily upload my flash files.  While I understand that Flash will not be supported by Adobe starting next year, I have many dashboards that are created in Flash that I want to add to my site now.

I will check out the links you provided.  Thank you again!
