Hi,
I am using the wordpress plugin ‘Appointment Hour booking’ for the booking service on my site.
the customer and admin are both not receiving verification emails. I have reached out to the booking system service and they have clarified that it is the hosting site that needs to deal with the issue. Can you please advise?
I have already used an email log to check where the eamils are being lost/ not received. But they are all coming up as SENT. But I have checked multiple times and there are no email being received on both sides (customer/admin). The main email I am using is example@GMAIL.com…. but this is my primary business email and would liek to continue to use this. Can you please advise what process I should use to solve this issue as soon as possible.
Thanks, Hannah

Thanks for the excellent question! The most common cause that emails are not being sent by your WordPress Website is that, by default, WordPress sends email unauthenticated.
This means that it lists your “from” email address as example@gmail.com, but it doesn’t log into your email account to actually send it, so many email systems will see that as a potential red flag for Spam.
You can fix this by installing a free SMTP plugin, such as WP Mail SMTP, and configuring it with your Gmail account details. Google has instructions for using your Gmail account via SMTP here.
