I am looking for a rather bold, old-fashioned font. The one that I found is called “old standard TT”. Is there a way to make that bold or do I have to look for another font?

Old Standard TT comes with a 700-Weight Bold variant. In the various areas of the Customizer, you can select 700 from the variant drop-down menu:
