I think something is broken with animation. It doesn’t seem to work on anything. It should be running on php 7.4 and Haven theme. Maybe this theme doesn’t support animation? Any ideas would be appreciated.

December 20, 2021 at 3:03 pm #46285Brandon CKeymasterHi Bob,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble incorporating animations into your theme. I inspected the URL you sent in the forum and I noticed you’re using Crio Pro WordPress theme. With Crio if you are creating a Page or Post you should be able to create animations directly from the BoldGrid Post and Page Builder.
You would need to hover over the column you would like to add the animation to and select the 3 bar toggle icon to bring up to the column options. From there click Advanced Controls and find the Animation icon. You can choose the animation “Type,” “Duration,” and “Delay” from this section.
If you’ve already tried this the next step is to probably clear your cache to make sure that your database rebuilds itself and displays the right content. Be sure to clear all cache including browser cache, page cache, and any server side cache you have associated with your website. Often times elements get cached in to our websites and the older elements will still display after changes are published until cache is purged.
I hope this helps! Please reach back out to us if you have any other questions.
January 17, 2022 at 6:26 am #46933SyberkittyGuestThe animations don’t seem to work as intended. I’m using them to animate some text. They start visible instead of invisible, then disappear and do the animation. How can I fix it? The cache doesn’t seem to change things.
January 17, 2022 at 6:30 am #46968Brandon CKeymasterHi thanks,
Animation is normally controlled by the Post and Page builder plugin so the functionality shouldn’t be effected by the theme. Could you send us the URL to the webpage you’re having this issue on please? We can take a look and give you our best suggestions on how to correct this.

the home pageThe text defaults as visible, then blinks off, then the animation fade in up plays. And it only plays once. The Slides keep looping but the animation does not. It should start invisible and play the animation each time ( I would think).

I see the animations on your homepage now. It looks like the animation is running but it’s completing very fast and not in sync with the slides. Try going into your animation settings and adjusting the duration and delay a bit. It seems like the text needs more time to correspond with each slide.
If you can’t get the animations to function correctly with the page editor tool. You might consider using a plugin like Animate It to add your animations. “Animate It” is a robust animations plugin with lots of features you can take advantage of to bring your idea to life.
I hope this helps. Please reach back out to us if you have any other questions.
January 19, 2022 at 7:56 am #47034Robert StarrGuestFWIW, this is the same problem I encountered with the animations. The animation completes very fast and adjusting the delay time has no effect. It works on my cell phone and other computers in the house/shop, but not on my dev desktop machine.
It was working for a while, but suddenly stopped working on this machine one day. I assumed it was a browser update, but not so sure of this now. Doesn’t work in Edge or FireFox on this machine. I’m running Windows 10 with auto-updates running all the time, so not sure when the last update occurred. I believe the animation problem came up before my last windows update though, but just a guess. But, like I said, it’s working on the other machines and phones, strange.

I’m happy you were able to get it working in some capacity. Maybe for you it has to do with machine caching. I’m thinking if it’s functioning on other machines you may want to go into to your windows system itself and clear cache there.
