Hi, I’m seeing a number of issues in a footer that I’m trying to customize without getting deep into the CSS. Not sure why this isn’t more accessible / clear through the customizer interface. I simply want to control placement of the included elements: two columns of content, and a social links menu. I can’t seem to arrange any of it with available controls – I’m confused. The menu item shows a directional placement setting (arrows) but this doesn’t seem to work properly.
I’ve added a custom background image with two CSS rules found in a suggestion on another page here. I want the social links menu top right, and the two columns side by side evenly sized below that.
I am also seeing two green text links to “add another widget” which I didn’t include and can’t find a way to delete or turn off.
Finally, there appears to be a blank / white band about 10 pixels high across the bottom of the footer which I can’t remove or cover with the background image. Is this a remnant of the (currently invisible) attribution links section? I’d like to eliminate it entirely.
Help please!

Sorry you’re having issues with Custom Footer Templates in your Crio Pro WordPress theme. Similar issues have been reported and we’re working on adding better navigation to make it easier to add your footer elements. The link color for the site is usually the first palette position but can be changed in the starting configs. The control can be found at Design<<Site Content<<Links.
If you add your footer menus in the form of a Widget, each menu will have it’s own set of controls and the color has to be set per menu. That will allow you to adjust the color of each menu section individually.
We’re working on better way of organizing color controls for custom footers. In recent updates some features have been added and others have been deemed somewhat obsolete and it can be hard to know what controls what if you’re not familiar with Crio. But rest assured we are working on a better method of displaying these footer design controls.
I hope this helps. Please reach back out if you have more questions for us.
January 27, 2022 at 3:45 pm #47193BenGuestHi, thanks for the tips.
I’m not concerned about the color scheme, think I’ve got that sorted out. But positioning is really an issue that I don’t know how to resolve. I only have the three elements, two widgets plus a menu, and currently they are showing up in a very odd random layout in the footer that changes depending on the screen/window size. Is there any way to set this up better without going into extensive custom CSS? I’m not a very advanced coder. Seems like the footer elements should render in a reliable way, like left to right, top to bottom etc, based on settings, unless there are some major bugs in the way. Would appreciate any assistance, even if it’s a temporary solution until the theme gets an update. Thanks!January 27, 2022 at 3:48 pm #47196Brandon CKeymasterThanks Ben,
Okay lets take a look at your footer. I didn’t see your website linked in the thread anywhere. Can you send us the URL to your so we can check it out. I’m sure we can provide you with some CSS to get the positioning situated.
We look forward to hearing from you.
