Hello there! Have been so happy to figure out how to use BoldGrid finally after many months, through wordpress… Now I am running into the issue that there is a horizontal black box across the bottom of my page, above the footer.. I cannot figure out how to remove this and need some guidance.
Thank you,
Michael
February 28, 2022 at 2:06 pm #47908Brandon CKeymasterHi Michael,
Thank you for reaching out and we appreciate you for sticking with Crio Pro WordPress theme and learning how to configure the theme to your liking.
It looks like that small black box is most likely an extra “Section” element that just needs to be removed in the BoldGrid Post and Page Builder editor. Here’s an article on working with sections in post and page builder that will help you learn how to select and remove the extra section.
I hope this helps. Please reach back out to us if you have any other questions.
March 7, 2022 at 10:42 am #48199MikaelGuestHi there. I was hoping to be able to attach images to be able to clearly express the issue I am having here.
I am unable to figure out how to change what comes up upon entering my sites name into search. I can send screenshots to show what I mean via email. It comes with a lower case “awake in truth” intro which I have zero idea how to remove after hours of searching, and I cannot change what the menu items say and how they appear. It even says things like “toggle menu visibility” in one of the menu items that comes up under search.. I have no clue how to change any of this. I have gone through every possible thing I could think of and still have had zero results, no luck searching forums either (maybe I am missing something).
I have even tried everything I could have through SEO and nothing comes up. I am really stuck with this one and need to call it a night. Not everything is always easy… that is life sometimes.
If you want, please email and I will send a screenshot as I cannot do so here for some reason (silly I think).
Thank you…
Mikael

You may have to install and configure an SEO plugin in order to get your search engine results to display you really want. You can use a plugin like Yoast SEO to accomplish this. What you need to do is set up your “Meta” information. This guide should help you install and configure Yoast SEO.

March 8, 2022 at 7:49 am #48259MikaelGuestI figured out the imgbb tool. I have a screenshot here of the results through Duckduckgo (i do not use google). Here you will be able to see the issues I am having more clearly. What is seen I have zero clue how to change and I have tried everything in sight. Including SEO… Like said, maybe I am missing something.
I need to change every single thing on there. The description, the pages listed, the description of the pages etc.. All of which I am lost on.
Hopefully we can figure it out moving forward.
Thank you again for the remarkable customer service ! 🙂

Yes, it looks like you need to make some adjustments to the on-page SEO configuration generated by your SEO plugin. I see you’re using the All-in-One SEO plugin. You’re SEO plugin configuration directly relates to search engine meta and that’s where you should look in order to change your search result formatting. I’m not as familiar with “All In One” as I am with other SEO plugins but I did find this guide on how to configure it’s general and on-page settings.
It would most benefit you to contact All In One SEO support directly on this matter. They should be able to answer any questions you have about SEO configuration within your WordPress site.
I hope you’re able to get this resolved quickly Mikael! Please reach back out if there is anything else we can help you with.
March 9, 2022 at 2:35 pm #48308MikaelGuestUpdate,
I have removed All-in-one SEO – maybe now we can try to look into a better SEO service. I see that Boldgrid has an Easy SEO service but I haven’t figured out how to use it just yet.
I wonder where the conflict is on my page..
See where it has the different subpages in the results, I need to figure out how to change what shows up there… I have not been able to find the settings even with yoast, but will keep looking.
Much Appreciation Brandon!
March 9, 2022 at 2:45 pm #48347Joseph WKeymasterHi Mikael!
One thing to keep in mind is that updates made to the Meta information for your pages will likely not be reflected on search result pages until those search engines have re-indexed your website’s data.
Our Easy SEO plugin adds some meta configuration options below the content area to the editing interface for Pages and Posts, similar to how Yoast works, and all you need to do is activate the plugin on your website to get those options to appear.
Please let us know if you have any other questions for us Mikael!
March 10, 2022 at 11:07 am #48358MikaelGuestThanks for your help guys.
I have seemed to have made some progress utilizing the meta description, hopefully it works right.. I did notice that the site looked significantly less impressive in the results with google as opposed to duckduckgo. I would like to find a consistent balance with the results that come up. Hopefully paying for a premium SEO is not needed, because $99 for Yoast is not in the budget for my site… extreme if you ask me.
One thing I really have had no progress with is changing what pages come up underneath of the site title and description.
Lastly, I have zero coding experience outside of Myspace back in the day, lol! So my intent is to proceed with ease but if need can adjust the codes with some guidance.
Much Appreciated again for the reliable customer service.
Mikael
March 10, 2022 at 11:21 am #48390Brandon CKeymasterHi Mikael,
So happy to hear you’re beginning to see some progress with your SEO meta data. Keep in mind that each search engine platform functions differently and may require extra steps within that platform so that your SEO previews display exactly the way you want. With Google, for example, you’ll want to incorporate “Google Search Console” to help improve upon your SEO configuration and identify problem areas.
Paying for a premium SEO plugin is definitely not needed to create the “Search Engine” results you desire. I’ve never seen a real need to add the premium features of a plugin like “Yoast” because it comes with everything you need right out of the box. The important thing to remember with SEO is everything takes time in order to be crawled and displayed correctly.
Lastly the links below your “Site Title” are directly related to your WordPress “Menus Section”. What you need to do is navigate to “Menus” from our dashboard locate your “main menu” and modify your page links there. Here’s a guide on working with menus in your Crio theme.
I hope I’ve answered everything for you. Please reach back out if you have any other questions Mikael!
March 22, 2022 at 6:02 am #48770MikaelGuestHey again!
I have not yet made any progress with the SEO. I seem to be stumped with this issue in particular and unable to move forward as of yet.
I believe I have tried the suggestions previously given, though maybe I am clearly missing something; perhaps something could be defective with the SEO?
To share where I am at: I have not really been able to change the META information and the tabs have not been able to be edited either.
I will attach a screenshot to show an example of the SEO results I am unable to change.
A big thing with wordpress is it being so complex in ways when you are really trying to put it together right, but worth it.I am open to any suggestions on how to rewrite the results I am getting with SEO.
Thanks for the great & consistent support! 🙂
Mikael ~
Note:I am completely unable to change any of this, the parts that say “toggle menu visibility” make no sense, I have been looking everywhere to solve this.
March 22, 2022 at 6:36 am #48875Brandon CKeymasterThanks Mikael,
If you’re using Easy SEO you just need to click into each page link, then click “edit page” in the top admin bar of your webiste (make sure you’re already logged in to your site).
Once you’re inside of the page editor scroll down to the bottom of the page where you’ll find the “Easy SEO” section. It is this section where you should enter your SEO information. Keep in mind that we have no control over when the information will be crawled and added to each search engines database. Changes in meta data could take weeks or even months to reflect in search results.
Hope this helps Mikael
