Hi There
I have moved my domain name from Hostgator to Hostmaria, changed the server names, and installed WordPress, all is working fine there, just a WordPress default showing as it should. Before I migrated away from Hostgator I used boldgrid to back up my entire site. I also downloaded the backup zip file to my computer just in case the restore process went wrong. I followed the instructions as per your migration help page and created a new backup. However, the only restore option I now have is the new backup of the new default WordPress. There is no option to restore from my original Hostgator backup? The only option is to restore it from my computer. But the error pops up, only 128mb upload allowed. I have configured the php filephp_value memory_limit = 300M
php_value upload_max_filesize = 500M
php_value post_max_size = 500M
php_value file_uploads = On
php_value max_execution_time = 900but still, the error exists.
Please Help

Thanks for reaching out with your Total Upkeep, BoldGrid backups and migrations questions! I’m sorry to hear your having some trouble but hopefully we can help.
Just to confirm you have already created a Total Upkeep backup at the destination site and you wish to import this backup into a new instance of WordPress at a new web host?
If that’s the case, what we’ll want to do first is:
1.) Make sure the backup we are working with was created successfully on the original server where the backup was made, go to Total Upkeep > Tools > Logs. Find the log for the backup in question and make sure it ends with
[2020-**-** **:**:** UTC] Backup complete!
2.)The 2nd thing we want to check is that the entire backup was uploaded to the new server. If the backup is 200MB on the original server, make sure it is exactly 200MB on the new server.
You may need to take it a step further than hard coding the settings in your wp-config file and actually change the setting at the server level. For that it’s possible you’ll need to contact your web hosting provider.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I’ve not restored a backup from my current hosting provider to my new hosting provider before. Having read your reply, am I understanding this correctly? So I need to upload the backup I created on my current hosting provider to the server on my new hosting provider. Am I correct in thinking, I need to install a fresh WordPress on the new hosting provider, install the Boldgrid plugin and then create a new backup? I then need to upload my previous Boldgrid backup into the Boldgrid folder that I have just created. Then, when I refresh the Boldgrid dashboard on the new WordPress installation, the backup that I uploaded will appear in the dashboard, and then I can restore it to the new WordPress installation.Or have I got it totally wrong lol.
