No images are showing up on the phone version of my site. Any thoughts on what might be causing that?
March 31, 2023 at 9:45 am #84424Brandon CKeymasterHi John,
Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder questions.
We inspected your page and it looks like I’m getting images on mobile device screen sizes on my end. Are you experiencing this issue using a specific browser type?
It’s is possible you’ve hidden some elements using the responsive utilities in Post and Page Builder as well. Take a look at this guide and it should help familiarize yourself designing for specific device sizes.
I hope this helps. We look forward to assisting you further with this.
April 3, 2023 at 12:56 pm #84428JohnGuestThanks, Brandan. The link to the guide doesn’t seem to be in your post.
I actually changed the homepage, since I submitted my question, so that the images that you see are actually background and the actual images which contain the links are transparent. So that resolved it, though not ideally.
But for the other pages, the Contact page for example which has two images, those don’t show up.
April 3, 2023 at 1:02 pm #84631Brandon CKeymasterHi John,
Sorry about that I must have forgot to add the link to the article on using the responsive utilities in Post and Page Builder.
I inspected the contact page on all screen sizes and I still only see the one image. It’s possible this images are completely hidden in the responsive utilities or hidden using custom CSS.
Could you use imgBB to send us a screenshot of the contact page in the page editor so that we can see if we can tell if there are any irregularities there?
April 10, 2023 at 7:56 am #85150JohnGuestI misspoke. It’s the ABOUT page that has 2 images. The CONTACT page does have one. Regardless, none of the images on any of the pages show up when I look at them on my phone.
This process, though, of trying to get answers to my questions is like having an conversation through a mile-long garden hose with somebody who occasionally speaks a different language and is at the other end of the hose only every couple of days, you’re never sure when. It’s maddening. For my sanity, I think I have to scrap this whole thing and move on.
April 10, 2023 at 8:00 am #85307Brandon CKeymasterHi John,
We’re out of office on the weekend so I do apologize if the response was delayed. I checked the about page as well and I do still see the two images on mobile screen sizes. It looks like they are stacked below the text.
I definitely understand if you need to move on. We’re always here if you do happen to need our assistance in the future.
Thanks John.
April 11, 2023 at 3:17 pm #85419JohnGuestLet me try one more time. I see the images when I look at the mobile screen size by clicking Phone View in the builder itself (stacked below the text, as you said). The images are not there when I send the page to and view it on my actual phone.
April 11, 2023 at 3:24 pm #85431Brandon CKeymasterThanks John,
I tried the site on my personal mobile device and the images do appear to be hidden on the actual device exactly as you mentioned. I tested images in our dev enviroment on my end and did not get the same result.
You can try replacing the images in the section then updating the page, or adding a new section to the page with the same exact content to see if it displays on a live mobile device.
The fact that your images are displaying on other pages lead me to think its something with the this pages HTML specifically.
