Before you can install a WordPress website with BoldGrid in cPanel, you need a domain to install it. Your cPanel account was created with a primary domain, but you can also choose to install your websites on subdomains or add-on domains. Follow these instructions to create a new subdomain or addon domain for your WordPress with BoldGrid website.
Create an Add-On Domain in cPanel
- Utilize your domain registrar’s DNS management tools to create a DNS A Record to your cPanel account’s IP address.
- Log into your cPanel dashboard according to your web host’s instructions.
- Locate the Domains section, and click on Addon Domains.
- Enter your domain name into the field.
- Use the default subdomain and document root that are automatically generated, unless you have a reason to create custom ones.
- Click Add Domain.
- Remember to allow 4-24 hours after creating your DNS A record for your DNS to propagate.
Create a SubDomain in cPanel

- Locate the Domains section, and click on Subdomains.
