Web browsers have a hard limit on how many HTTP/1 requests they can make to the same domain. If a website requires more requests than this limit to show the website to a visitor, the web browser will have to wait on requests for website content to finish before downloading more required website content.

Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) or subdomain to host static content to prevent this problem. Utilizing a CDN or subdomain to distribute the requests for web page content makes the browser much less likely to reach the limit on how many requests can be made for a single domain.
