Adding and Saving BoldGrid Blocks

The Post and Page Builder design system is based on the concept of WordPress Blocks. A Block is a section of content. A Page can include only 1 Block or as many as you would like. The Post and Page Builder includes a large set of professionally designed Blocks as a starting point. In this article we will show you how add and save BoldGrid Blocks using the Block Library.

Add a New BoldGrid Block

When adding content to a page or post or starting a new page or post from scratch it can be challenging to find a good starting point to work from. The Post and Page Builder gives you the ability to get started using pre-built blocks with sample content that you can edit to fit your needs. The steps below will walk you through the process of adding a new block.

• In the Dashboard, navigate to Pages or Posts → View All
• Edit the Page or Post
• Click the Add Block Button at the top of the Editor
• On the left side of the screen you will see your page
• Hover over a Block, or Section, and drag handles will appear to move the sections as needed
• On the right side of the screen you will see available Blocks to add
• There are two dropdowns at the top – Types and Category
• With each new selection the available Blocks below will update
• Hover over a Block and click + to Page to add to the top of the page
• Premium Blocks are available to Premium Key users and are designated by a banner at the bottom of the block
• Click on the directional arrows on the left of the Block to drag and drop into a specific location
• Click the Check Mark Button in the top right to return to the Editor

Save a BoldGrid Block

If you’ve worked on a section of content that you want to re-use or that you want to save as a starting point for additional content on your site, you can save it as a block to your Block Library making it easy to add to a page or post any time. The steps below will cover how to save content you’ve created to your Block Library.

• In the Dashboard, navigate to Pages or Posts → View All
• Edit the Page or Post
• Hover over the content you would like to save as a block
• Locate the grey section tag at the bottom and click the Edit Section icon
• Click the ♥ Save Block option in the list to Save the Block to your Block Library
• Provide the Block with a name and click Save

Add A Saved BoldGrid Block

If you have saved several blocks to your Block Library or want to use one of your saved blocks, adding it to your page or post is a snap:

• Click the Add Block Button at the top of the Editor
• Using the Types dropdown menu, select Block Library
• Here you will see your Saved Blocks to add

You have now added a new Block to a page and saved it to your library for reuse. Now you know how to save and reuse BoldGrid Blocks.
