On my home page I have added the words contact me and I want to link it to the email page that I created, yet it is not working.

I’m sorry to see that your contact me link is not working properly. Unfortunately, I’m not sure as to what the extent of the link not working. Can you please elaborate on the process by which you created the link and the unexpected results you are seeing? I had a similar problem. I found that I could use the Contact Form by WPForms plugin. I don’t remember the exact instructions but I added one of their contact blocks to my website. I opened the WPForms plugin – Create contact form-settings-notifications-add email-save. That worked for me.

I know how to embed the form which I have done already, but do all the pages need to be active before a link works. I created the insert/edit link.

The page that the contact form is embedded on does need to be active, yes.
