We have a Q&A portion to our website. We cannot figure out how to set up a setting in which we would receive emails notifying us when someone posts a question.

January 18, 2019 at 10:02 am #29590premedhubumichGuestIs there a way we can check which email it is sending notifications to? We already have what you first suggested, all the boxes selected, so that doesn’t seem to be the problem.
January 18, 2019 at 10:03 am #29591BoldGrid ContributorGuestEnsure the admin email account is where you’d want to receive those notifications.

January 18, 2019 at 10:15 am #29593BoldGrid ContributorGuestYou may need to ensure your emails are sent with SMTP authentication using a plugin like WP Mail SMTP as this is a general WordPress issue.
You can read more in this WP Beginner article.
February 20, 2019 at 7:30 pm #29594premedhubumichGuestThe advice in the WP article didn’t work either. We have been struggling to fix this problem for several months now. Could you let me know if there’s another way this can be resolved?
February 21, 2019 at 10:12 am #29595johnpaulbGuestI recommend logging errors anytime you are troubleshooting this type of issue. Also, check your server’s mail log for further clues or record of the email transmissions. If it is failing or being refused by the recipient, this will be included in the mail logs.
Thank you,
John-Paul
