I see the option to set pictures as background but what about videos? I would like to set a video per section, without any buttons, possibly playing in auto and loop.
thank you for any help!
July 23, 2019 at 10:26 am #30313Jesse OwensGuestHello! Thanks for the great question, this is a feature that we’re currently working on.
This feature will be available in our soon-to-be-released Super-Theme Crio, and we’ll be adding those features to the v1 themes a little farther in the future.
See how video backgrounds work in Crio.July 23, 2019 at 5:12 pm #30314angelocorteseprivateGuestHi Jesse, do we have an estimated date for the release of Crio?
Also when you add the video as background to the header in Crio, will this video be in every page or can you choose in what page to appear?I opened an other question ( https://www.boldgrid.com/feedback/communities/20/topics/4256-my-background-pictures-dont-scroll-on-mobile-devices-help) but it wasn’t answered.
The problem is not only that the image in the background doesn’t resize but also if I put as fixed it will still scroll with the page instead of having the content scrolling over the image. This happens only in the mobile device. In the desktop will work perfectly.
July 23, 2019 at 5:55 pm #30315angelocorteseprivateGuestI just saw the demo of Crio and it looks like the video background option is only for the header. What I meant was how do I had a video as background in a section in any page, not as header.
July 24, 2019 at 12:01 pm #30316Jesse OwensGuestHello! Thanks for checking out Crio, we’re really excited for the launch too.
Crio is currently under review for inclusion in the WordPress.org Theme Repository. Since the Theme Review team is entirely made up of volunteers, we can’t speculate how soon it will be approved, but we do expect it to be soon.
You’re right that the current functionality only includes the header video backgrounds. Setting video backgrounds for individual settings is a feature that we’re working on adding. We’re keeping track of that new feature here on our GitHub repository. I’ve added this forum post to the issue to add your vote for the feature.
