April 13, 2020 at 1:55 pm #30883Jesse OwensGuestHello,
Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear that you’re getting search console errors for your website.
Right now, that URL is currently giving a 404 error. If Google is still crawling this page, that would indicate that it is included in your sitemap or is otherwise linked from your site somewhere. One easy way to fix that is to use a redirection plugin to find 404 errors on your website and redirect them to an active page.
I hope this helps!
April 17, 2020 at 3:44 am #30884davidmulhollandGuestHi Jesse, can try that but this site was a clone from main site so why doesn’t this error appear also on that one? I cannot find any such page either such as
https://quote.businessmoneymatters.co.uk/uncategorized/ ? Also, where do I actually find my sitemap?
April 17, 2020 at 3:50 am #30885davidmulhollandGuestAlso, do you know where the pages Noindex or Uncategorized would be as I cannot find?
April 17, 2020 at 4:05 am #30886davidmulhollandGuestJust looked and it seems that I am supposed to have 16 pages with 15 of them published.. I am only able to find 15 pages.. so there is something hidden somewhere.. how to find?
April 17, 2020 at 4:10 pm #30887supportGuestHi David,
The Uncategorized page that is creating that 404 error is a category archive page, which are separate entities from Pages as WordPress understands them. Uncategorized is the default Blog Post category for all WordPress based installations and is created automatically when starting out. If you need to find Uncategorized then you should be able to locate it in Blog Posts > Categories from your website’s dashboard.
The missing page looks to be one marked as Draft. Pages that are saved as Drafts are not visible on the front end of you website and could explain the discrepancy you are seeing.
Sitemaps are not visible by default in the WordPress dashboard, but you can use a plugin (such as Google XML Sitemaps) to view what your Sitemap looks like to search engines.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
