Look like pixel magnifications. Need to get them to look like images and not pastel blur on smartphones. See http://www.wrenchtech.com for example

Thank you for your question about background images. This can be adjusted in the Customizer under the Background heading.
The settings for Background Image Size are the ones to focus on in this case. I recommend choosing “Do not resize.” This should take care of the magnified pixel effect. Alternatively you could choose “Full height” or “Full width” to try a different look and still minimize the resizing effects that distort the image.

July 11, 2017 at 6:47 pm #24109MattyDMemberThat’s great for the picture in the header, But it doesn’t do anything for the pictures in sections on pages, where there are far fewer choices. It seems like I have to alter my design to suit the theme. One thing that works really well is that Picture gallery. It serves up nice on the desktop and handheld devices.
