I have created a separate page for my blog posts and I have the setting set to show only summary and then should have a “read more” link below the summary, but for some reason the theme keeps posting the entire post on the page. How can I fix this? I have searched through the forums and even tried to join the boldgrid facebook group to reach out, but have not been accepted in over a week. a solution would be appreciated.

In order to only show the post’s excerpt, you’ll need to be sure that you’ve inserted a Read More tag into your post.
Edit your post, and look for the Insert Read More Tag icon. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Shift+Alt+T.

I had another question regarding the blog, but am not sure if I should post here or open another one, but I’ll post here for now and open another if needed.
I have created a separate blog page, but when I try to change the design of the page nothing happens. For example I have changed the background of it, but the changes don’t show up and it remains a static color. How can I change the design and layout of the blog page?

In the Callaway theme that you’re using, the blog page’s design is set up to be consistent with the rest of the site, so there’s not exactly a way to customize it separately from the rest of the website.
That said, you can target your blog page with Custom CSS by using the body.blog CSS Selector. You can also get more control by using an actual page with Post List block components. Here’s a video I created for another user on how to use Post Lists inside of pages:
