Hello claysp5bg,
Thank you for your question on making doc files links in your menu. This is a normal WordPress function. When you add a new menu item to your menu, select the ‘Custom Links’ option. This allows you to name the link and point it to the correct document.
This will allow the user to download the document when they click on the menu option. If you want the document to open in the browser, you may consider pdf files instead.
Kindest Regards,
Scott MJuly 20, 2017 at 2:58 pm #24062Anonymous UserMemberI have a Menu item called Minutes. The Minutes are Microsoft Word documents. I want to make the Minutes documents sub-pages under the menu heading Minutes. When a customer is looking at the web site, he will be able to scan over the Minutes heading and see the sub-pages (Minutes from meetings) and click on the one of interest and the Word document will show. Basically I’m trying to make a Word Document a Sub-page. I searched the plugin directory and did not see anything for importing Microsoft documents. Or did I miss it?
