I have been editing only an active site. I am about to add woocommerce and want to use a staging site until it is ready to install. I want to use the active sites current customization. How can I use the active site as the foundation of my staging site?

Thanks for posting your question regarding using your active site as a foundation for your staging site. You can duplicate active pages and posts and then change their Development Group to the staging site. However, the Customizer settings are not able to be duplicated to the staging site.
Unfortunately, at this time this functionality is not available. I went ahead and notified our developers who will be adding this to their feature request list.
