Like many other people – I am having problems with fonts not changing. When selected the paragraph or words show as the default font in the text setting box [the box that literally says “Text Settings” on the title/menu bar], but the text markup box clearly shows another font. From what I can tell it is due to cutting and pasting from other documents (e.g. .doc) into the website. This text gets stuck in whatever font it was on the original .doc files. Is there a way to override this, other than go into the text editor on every paragraph and change it?
Further Clarification:
This is a new install and had only one plugin which wasn’t in use. Deleting it solved nothing – of course. I’ve put a video on the site demonstrating the problem, but there’s multiple spots throughout where it recurs – mostly the font won’t change but size will, although one paragraph is stuck in italics. http://catshowyoulearn.com/the-problem/

All of them are moderated and approved before they appear in public. Anytime you post a comment, we see a notification appear. We saw your comment and the program used for the question/answer/comment interface also indicates your last action (it shows you as having “unselected the answer”). I’m not sure what the confusion is on the question-answer system, but generally, a visitor to the support center asks the question and support center personnel provides an answer. If there is a further conversation on the answer, then clicking on Add a comment helps to keep the comments associated with the posted answer.
On to your problem. I viewed your video several times in an attempt to understand the problem. Keep in mind your comment about pasting text from a .doc or other document format. If you do that, only the text information should pass. Though you don’t see it, the formatting information saved in that document does not normally pass into the web site editor (the editor in WordPress is NOT the same as a word processing application like MS Word). Thus, you should have text that is unformatted when you place it in the WordPress site using BoldGrid. The BoldGrid templates – in this case, Monument – may have fonts preset for the block that you are using. So, if you paste in there, then it will take on the font that has been assigned for that block. In my testing, I created a brand new post using the Monument theme and the current Opera browser. When I selected the font menu from the orange handles (like you did in the video), then the Text Setting dialog appears. When I select a paragraph of text (with the dotted orange lines), if I select other fonts, the font immediately changes. I am unable to duplicate your actions in my testing. It should also be noted that the text did than
Can you please provide information on the version numbers of WordPress and BoldGrid that you are using? I am testing with the latest versions of WordPress and BoldGrid. Are you using any caching? Try turning it off for the editing process if you are.
I hope this helps to clarify the problem. I will be removing your duplicate question after this reply. If you continue to have the problem and want immediate assistance, please try contacting our live technical support to help you over the phone/email/chat.

It clears all the invisible formating garbage and resets to the default font. I can’t believe there’s actually a magic button for this.
April 25, 2018 at 9:42 am #23022Ez1RealtyMemberI have been having this problem on the last 2 posts. I set a HEADER 2, and the font remains small. In this case it says 18pt but looks more like 12pt. The font in the Header 2 is the same size as the rest of the post. I click on the section, click T for TEXT, increase the size. The Text Editor says it is 33pt, and I increase it to 54pt, the actual FONT remains the same, but the box increases in size. I save/publish and on the site, the Header looks the same size as the rest of the post. I also can’t change font color any longer. That is the other editing tool that seems to have gone to the wayside.
The only plug in I have added is WP Header images, that I don’t think I need. Could that be the issue?
