There is an update available for the. Hydra theme. According to a link on the themes update page, you should use child themes to upgrade a theme. This is recommended for those who have “modified” the theme.
I have not modified my theme in any way. However, i did customize my theme.. made different choices … color scheme, link locations, etc.
If I upgrade Hydra, will i lose my customizations if I don’t use a child theme?

Thank you for your question on updating your theme. With settings done in the Customizer, updating the theme should not change any of those. So if you changed fonts, colors, etc, then they should be the same after updating the theme to the newest version.Kindest Regards,

I upgraded the ydra theme. But mow there is a problem. I had a image under the header but below the menu bar. When a user would scroll, this would slide up neatly under the Title and Menu Bar.
Sine the upgrade, the picture had disappeared. Instead, there is an area where the p[icture used to be that is a different color than the rest of thew page.
I deaaly, I would like to get the picture back. But, if that is not possible, I would at least like to delete the idfferent colored area so the pages look more presentable.
I did try using a widget where the picture used to be. Then adding the path to the picture from Library.
But then, the page does not scroll anymore.
Thanks.

Sorry for the problem with the theme update. Can you please provide us access to your site? We would need to be able to see what’s happening in order to investigate it further.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
