If my active theme is Twenty Seventeen, then “customize active site” works fine. If I make a BoldGrid certified theme the active one, the customize will not work. Additionally, it will sometimes break at the point of trying to activate the BG certified theme, and not even at the point of clicking “customize”. The “break” is that the page does not load and I receive the following error message:
*sad frowny page image*
The connexu.org page isn’t working
connecu.org is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
Using Google Chrome.

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your BoldGrid theme breaking the Customizer. We have not heard of this issue before. What specific WordPress version are you using? What version of BoldGrid are you using? Also, does this happen with any BoldGrid theme or specific ones? We would like to try and duplicate the issue to see if we can assist you.
Kindest Regards,
Scott MJanuary 16, 2017 at 4:23 pm #24672I am using WP 4.7.1
BoldGrid SEO, Ninja Forms, Inspirations, and Editor are all v 1.3
BoldGrid staging is 1.3.0.2
It does not occur on the default Twenty Seventeen theme.
It did occur with:
Venetian, Wedge, Hydra and Grid One… and then I gave up.
I tried uninstalling (well, “deleting”) each theme and re-installing.
I also talked with inmotion hosting support and they were the ones who directed me here because it seems like a plugin issue.
Any help you have would be appreciated!!

Sorry for the continued issues with the themes. We are working on trying to duplicate the issue and will need to discuss it with the developers. As soon as we have information in regards to the issue we will publish an update. Apologies again for the problems you’re having with the BoldGrid themes.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.January 23, 2017 at 2:17 pm #24670adminMemberHello Taylor,
We had the developers work with InMotion and were able to determine that the issue was with your default server php.ini file. It was not working correctly and throwing the 500 error. They corrected the php.ini file and a test instance was able to work properly (after confirming your error). You should now be able to use the Customizer with BoldGrid properly.
Kindest Regards,
