Hello Natalie,
Thank you for your question about the Florentine theme. It is well-advised to remember that all of the BoldGrid themes use a responsive layout and will look a little different on different monitors at varying sizes and different devices like phones and tablets. This makes certain the site will be readable on multiple platforms, but it also means that an element placed in one area may move slightly when viewed at a different size. You may have noticed this in practice when viewing how the Facebook and Twitter websites look different on computer monitors than on phones.
Once you have uploaded your logo image, you should be able to adjust the scale. Is the image resolution high enough to display in your theme? (Feel free to provide a link to your site, so we can see what you mean.)
To make sure the background image will remain visible at varying screen sizes take a look at the scrolling and scaling options available in the customizer. Once logged in to your admin area, click Customize and then choose Background. You will notice how you can adjust the background effects, size, and position.
At the bottom of the customizer window (in the left panel) you can adjust the preview window to switch between a full scale (computer monitor) view and also table and phone views. This demonstrates how the responsive layout changes based on screen sizes.
Best,
Christopher M.

I’m using the Florentine theme and I’m not sure how to get it to look more like the preview where there is a lot of space where the background image shows at the top of the page and the words the good life are very large and readable. When I upload my logo image that includes my title and tagline, even at the largest size it is tiny and practically unreadable. And there is no option to enter a site title and tagline and still have a logo image. There is a fairly small space at the top of the page where my background image is clear before the rest of the page starts, much smaller than on the theme preview.
Thanks
