    Hello Mr/Ms
i have westview theme on my website and i can’t change the background. On the customization screen it changes and i press publication, but when i visit website there is no change. This happens only for background customization. All others (logo, color palette, etc.) work fine.
    Thank you

    Hi Lefteris-

I checked out the site you sent over, and I can only see the background that’s set up for your Coming Soon plugin, so it’s tough to say what might be going on.

There are a couple of things to check. First, make sure your Westview theme is up-to-date. Navigate to Dashboard > Updates and update the theme, if needed.

Second, it’s possible there might be a JavaScript error in your customizer. If you can check your browser’s error console and let us know if you see any errors there, we can dig a little deeper. Here’s a quick video tutorial on how to check your browser’s error console:

    Hi Lefteris-

It looks like it’s stuck on using a pattern for the background. Try navigating to Customize > Background > Pattern & Color and click the Remove Selected Pattern button, then try to update your image once more.

    Hi Lefteris-

I checked out your site again, and one thing I noticed is that you’re using CloudFlare as a CDN, and so it’s possible you may need to clear your CDN cache to see the new image.

If that doesn’t fix it, we’d like to take a closer look so we can diagnose the issue for you. Can you file a premium support ticket or email our support team and reference this thread so we can assist further?

    Hello,
i cleared the CDN cache but nothing changed. The problem remains. I don’t have a paid registration so i can’t use the premium support if this is what you mean.

    Hi Lefteris-

As a DreamHost customer, you’re already have premium included with your hosting, so I’d still encourage you to do a premium ticket so that we can take a look. Especially in this case, if we can identify a bug that we need to fix for everyone.

    Hello W Watson,

Sorry to hear you are having problems publishing the changes in the Customizer. In order to assist you further can you please let me know what theme you are using and if all plugins, themes, and WordPress itself is up to date in your install?

    Thanks,
    Nicole
