I am wanting to display two separate blog categories on my site. I have learned how to add categories to the menu making a “page” that displays only posts of that category.
My problem is I want to customize that “page”, but since it is a category, not technically a page, it does not show up in the list of pages for me to edit, nor have I found any other way to customize that particular category’s “page”.
My primary reason for wanting to customize this “page” is because my theme for the website involves a dark background with white font. This is great everywhere else, but I want my blog posts (including titles, tags, and comments, etc.) displayed on a light background with black font for easier reading.

Thanks for posting your question regarding customizing the pages that display a specific category. Unfortunately, this feature is not built into WordPress/BoldGrid. You would need to custom code a solution, for instance, using a Category Template.
Otherwise, you can create/design pages for each category and use this plugin which will allow you the ability to use shortcodes on the page you created/designed to display the desired Category.
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
