Why is “You haven’t entered any content yet!” always a red dot when I go to update my 450+ webpages. I have only one H1 tag and plenty of content. I am also running WP Rocket, AMP, Broken Link Checker, Ivory Search, Post & Page builder, Simple revisions delete, Simple social buttons, Simple Universal Google Analytics plugins on my website.
Thanks,

Thanks for the detailed information, thanks to your help I was able to replicate the issue. It looks like whenever I have the Simple Revisions Delete plugin active, I get the same issue. As soon as I clicked the Purge Revisions button, it seems like the issue was resolved.
One alternative to that plugin that you might consider is limiting the number of revisions on your site by adding a line to your wp-config.php file. You can add a line similar to this:
define( 'WP_POST_REVISIONS', 3 );
By default, WordPress stores all your post and page revisions, using a line like this one will only keep the most recent 3 revisions.
February 23, 2021 at 11:27 am #34178Joe GrammGuestI did a search and found this thread, as I’m having a similar issue. I’m also using WP Rocket, Post & Page Builder Premium, and I had and removed Hummingbird. I believe I used Hummingbird to purge revisions.
Now Easy SEO says I have no content and is red. If I add content, content goes to Green, because I do have content. When I Update the page, content goes back to red. Any advise on how to get Easy SEO to recognize my content again would be appreciated. See attached link.

Thanks for reaching out! Since WordPress 5.6.2 was released, we do have a bug in the Word Count that our developers are currently investigating, that’s not related to any other plugin conflict.
We expect to have an update out to resolve this shortly, and I’ll update the thread here as soon as we have it released for you.
February 23, 2021 at 11:47 am #34206Joe GrammGuestJessie, Thank you for the reply. I’m actually glad to hear it’s a bug and not something I did!
Bugs can be fixed. Will be looking for the update.
Curiosity question: Does the bug prevent Google Bots from seeing the content.
February 23, 2021 at 11:52 am #34208Jesse OwensKeymasterHi Joe-
The word count, along with all the other “Red light/Green light” keyword tips, are strictly informational so that you, the writer, can make good SEO-optimized content. They don’t have any actual effect on how Google sees your page content.
Only the other two tabs, the Title & Description and Search Visibility make changes to the way search bots see your content.

February 23, 2021 at 12:03 pm #34210Joe GrammGuestThat’s what I figured, but thought I’d ask.
February 26, 2021 at 9:45 am #34340Joe GrammGuestIs the Easy SEO bug also effecting Cloud WordPress Staging sites.
February 26, 2021 at 9:57 am #34353Joseph WKeymasterHi Joe!
As far as we are aware this bug is occurring on any website using both WordPress 5.6.2 and our Post and Page Builder plugin to manage page content. We recently released BoldGrid Easy SEO 1.6.10 which addresses some bugs with OpenGraph image handling, and strangely enough this also seems to have fixed the word count bug in the testing we have conducted so far.
What version of Easy SEO is currently running on your Cloud WordPress staging sites? We have had some trouble replicating the word count bug with the latest version on our end and we are curious to see if the newest version has fixed the error in other locations as well.

Thanks for that info! We’re having trouble nailing down the word count bug, because we haven’t determined exactly the circumstances that it occurs in yet.
For example, when you made your first post, I was able to get the bug to happen right away in a fresh Cloud WordPress installation, but when our developers attempted the exact same steps, the bug didn’t happen.
We’re beginning to suspect that the bug may depend on the browser or other individual circumstances.
First, can you try clearing your browser cache and see if the bug is still happening to you? If it is, can you let us know what Browser and Operating System you’re using (eg. Chrome 88.X on Windows 10)?
February 26, 2021 at 5:58 pm #34375Joe GrammGuestSafari: Version 14.0.3 (14610.4.3.1.6)
Chrome: Version 88.0.4324.192 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Firefox Breaking News! 86.0 (64-bit) Green light working normally on all pages with 300 or more words. Pages with red light showing accurate word count.
In Safari & Chrome, cleared browser cache, WP Dashboard/Pages/page cache, WP Rocket cache, issue still exists, red with no content.
Incase you’re wondering, this was happening before I installed WP Rocket. If anything, I would say it started happening about the same time I was having error messages in W3TC. I could not resolve the issues with W3TC even after the fix given to unselect object cache and one other cache setting due to being on a shared server. So I gave up on W3TC and installed WP Rocket.
