I have a blog on my site. When it posts it posts by default with me as the author. But I don’t want it to say that because I am sharing other people’s works. I am NOT the author although I write the post. How can I change that?

Thanks for your question about attributing an author to a particular post. When you post content in WordPress, attribution of that content is based on the user that you are logged in with. So, if you want to post content, you can put the author IN that post’s text to identify the actual author. If you want the post name to change you would have to create a user in that name using the WordPress Admin. It is probably more accurate to simply include the content attribution within the post. This is how WordPress posts have always operated. You are also not the first person to be concerned about this so there are many WordPress plugins that address this issue. This is a good example of one Simple Author Box. You can see my screenshots below to see the default functionality from WordPress (and BoldGrid):
[caption id="attachment_16400" align="alignleft" width="300"] This is a block with a quote and attribution used in the quote.[/caption]
[caption id="attachment_16401" align="alignleft" width="276"] This is the Post view (as though you’re viewing it from a browser)[/caption]
I hope this helps to explain the issue. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
