    Hello!
I am live testing a store using Woocommerce (default /store slug) and a PayPal payment plugin (and another plugin to edit the checkout form fields for full transparency). When I reach the checkout page there is an unsightly PayPal with a checkbox next to it that serves no purpose and a black bar below that, that also serves no purpose. There WAS another PayPal image that I managed to hide with some basic CSS coding but I cannot figure out how to remove those other items.

I deactivated the checkout form field to eliminate it as a problem so now it’s a battle of Crio vs Woocommerce. But being a complete novice at this coding thing, I don’t know what I need to do to override this eyesore so that it disappears completely. Help!

    Hi Misa,

Thanks for reaching out with your Crio WordPress theme questions.  Your paypal plugin is likely adding a button or some additional meta that’s populating on your page.  If you could link us to your checkout page or one of your products so that we can test the checkout process we’d be happy to take a look and give our best suggestions on how we would go about resolving this.

Once items are added from the store and the checkout is viewed – that’s where the problem is.

    Thanks for your response Misa!

Yes, I understand that you’re concerned with the extra PayPal branding displaying on the checkout page. If you don’t mind linking us to the URL of your web store or a shop page we can inspect the page elements on end and see if we can provide you with a resolution.

I tried visiting the Spirit Store URL but it looks to be a coming soon page there.

We look forward to assisting you further with this

Sorry! Will unlock the store for viewing. While I was updating yesterday I also encountered a coupon box that wasn’t following my crio theming. It was doing its own thing in a light blue color that was distracting.

    Hi Misa,

I opened one of your products and went through the checkout process. I see the branding added by your paypal payment plugin but I don’t see any extra branding. Check screenshot here – https://ibb.co/xXW95gg

If you would like to remove the paypal button entirely this option is set in your WooCommerce “payment” settings.

As for the coupon box it may have it’s own CSS depending on how you incorporated it but if you could direct us to where it’s located on your website we’d be happy to have a look at that as well.

    Thanks Misa!

    Hello!
I still want the PayPal button, but there is a secondary unclickable PayPal icon with a checkmark next to it that is located above the actual PayPal button (along with a black bar). It’s not interfering with functionality right now so I guess I’ll manage for now.

    Thanks!
    Misa

    Hello again,
I went ahead and screenshotted the image of the PayPal item I’m talking about on the checkout page.

    PayPal

I hope this is more useful than what I tried to describe previously.

    Thanks,
    Misa

    Hi Misa,

Your second PayPal icon likely comes from another PayPal plugin or setting within the WooCommerce ecosystem.  You’d need to find out exactly what’s calling the icon into the page in order to remove it.  You can also try inspecting the icon to locate it’s CSS selector ID and hiding it using custom CSS.

We could possibly help with this, are you able to switch your payments to test mode and send us a mock up invoice that we can test?

We look forward to assisting you further with this Misa!
