Is it possible to create a fixed header and nav bar at the top of my site? Kind of like the one on this site. Also, on my staging site, there is a gap between the header content, and the body content, which I can’t seem to get rid of.

The functionality for a fixed header and menu depends on the theme. It is not available for every theme as individual themes are designed differently. This functionality is not something you can apply to any theme due to the responsive design constraints. There are plugins you can add to your WordPress site that can add this option as well. Make sure to experiment with it first and see how it affects your chosen Inspiration/theme. Check out this plugin as an example. The solution for the header on any theme can also be resolved with a plugin.
