Issue with using category as a Menu Item

I am trying to add a category as a menu item. The customizer allows me to select the categories correctly, but the link that is created references a page instead of a category.

i.e. the link is xxxx/concerts instead of xxxx/categories/concerts

any ideas?

Hello,

When using a category as a menu item it will generally direct to a page with a list of items in that category. If you wanted it to go to specific URL your best bet would be to add a custom link to the menu instead with the URL you want to use.
