My bold grid website looks great in every responsive design tool available, but once I put it up on InMotion’s servers and look at it with an iPhone or an iPad the pictures in backgrounds all become indistinguishable. The options all suck too as far as I can tell
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having problems with the BoldGrid website on an iPhoe or an iPad. If you can please provide a URL, then we can take a look at it and see if anything can be done to help with the issue.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
Thanks for your reply. The BoldGrid experience was not good for me so I took the live website down. As others have noted, the staged website is useless if you can’t move changes between the two with ease. So I continue to develope with MAMP locally. And again I run into trouble with the fact that the BoldGrid backup plugin doesn’t work with MAMP and the Duplicator plugin dosen’t work with InMotion and BoldGrid if your site is big.
Sorry to hear that you were still having problems with the plugin. The plugin was originally made to be used in a hosted environment, so using it within the self-contained environment of MAMP or WAMP would be going beyond its original design intent. This was also true of moving changes between the staging and active versions. The staging site was made to be a separate area for creating a WordPress site. Typically, the Media library was the area to allow for sharing of images or videos. Moving changes from pages or posts would involve copying the code on the text page and then pasting it on the other site. If you’re looking for better ways to move changes or improve the plugin, then please provide suggestions and we can pass on your comments to the developers for consideration.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
