    Hi,

I’m trying to optimize my homepage for mobile devices.

Today the score is low because I have too many CSS & JS that are slowing the page download.

I tried a few things that I read in internet, but it seems it is not working properly.

Can you help me to optimize my homepage [redacted]?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Carlos

    Hi Carlos-

It looks like there are quite a few CSS and JS files being loaded by your plugins and theme. You may need to enable manual minification to make sure all your assets are being minified and combined.

I’d definitely recommend using preview mode while you’re setting up your manual configuration. If you’d like help, we can perform the configuration for you. Simply navigate to Performance > Support and request a Performance Audit & Consultation and one of our experts will walk you through the process.

    Hi,

I added almost all files (js and CSS files), but some are still not minified:

    https://www.[redacted].pt/wp-content/cache/minify/7981f.default.include.ebb913.css

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato%3A%2C300%2C400%2C700&ver=00f84b299409c5b1ba33947f4c1d19b4

    https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:400,400i,700,700i,900,300,300i|Roboto:700&subset=latin,latin-ext&display=auto

Any suggestion how to do for these files?

Anyway, I am rewriting some pages to avoid plugins that are slowing the page download, but this will take time. After that I will request your Performance Audit & Consultation in case I don’t achieve the minimum acceptable scope.

    Regards,

    Carlos

    Hi Carlos-

I double-checked your first link, and it is actually minified. You can examine the file, or notice its path includes /minify/7981f.default.include.ebb913.css .

Your other two files are coming from an external server, so W3 Total Cache isn’t able to minify those for you. One thing you can do to resolve this is to host your Google Fonts locally, with a plugin such as Optimize My Google Fonts.
