I think I followed the instruction listed on https://www.boldgrid.com/support/question/4205-my-site-title-and-background-image-will-not-scale-for-mobile/ by pasting those CSS but I’m still having the same problem when looking at my iphone vertically. What am I doing wrong?
July 11, 2023 at 10:32 am #97094Brandon CKeymasterHi Eling,
Thanks for reaching out although I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with our Crio Pro WordPress theme.
So it looks like you might be having two problems here, one being the scaling of your images and backgrounds on mobile devices and the other is a similar issue with your site and page titles.
Lets start with titles, remove the current CSS you copied over and follow this guide to add CSS that will remove auto-hypens for headings on your site.
After implementing this change contact us again so that we can review your site and continue with the next steps.
Thanks a lot Eling, we look forward to assisting you further with this!
July 11, 2023 at 12:35 pm #97104ElingGuestThis did not solve my problem. The wordings may not have cut off but it looks weird now. I want a solution where page will scale by percentage according to the device like how it is shown on https://www.boldgrid.com/support/question/4205-my-site-title-and-background-image-will-not-scale-for-mobile/
July 11, 2023 at 12:48 pm #97110Brandon CKeymasterHi Eling,
Sorry for the confusion, the code provided was meant to be a starting point for further optimizations. Looking at your site this page seems to be the only one experiencing these types of issue with padding and margin.
I noticed now that your site title doesn’t display at all but as far as the scalability when I check on my mobile device and in my browser tools everything seems to scale properly.
Can you tell us what browser you’re using to view your website so that we can inspect that as well?
We look forward to hearing back from you!
July 13, 2023 at 9:33 am #97269ElingGuestOn boldgrid’s mobile views they are ok but on actual mobile views, they are bad. I can’t seem to paste the screen shots from my mobile. How do I show you the screen shots? Can you try looking at it on your phone? I use ios devices. It’s worst on vertical views.
July 13, 2023 at 9:33 am #97270ElingGuestThe screen shots are here: https://ibb.co/0hvbZ7N
Thanks
July 13, 2023 at 12:07 pm #97318Brandon CKeymasterHi Eling,
I have more of an understanding of your issue after your screenshot. This could be a bug that’s specific to Safari but we need more info in order to determine that. Have you viewed the page on an Android device? If so, does the page display correctly on that device?
Since this is page specific I think a good way to tackle your issue is by using the responsive utilities in Post and Page Builder.
Post and Page Builders responsive utilities allow you to build elements to display differently on specific theme sizes. This way you’ll have full control over your images as well as element background elements. You can add margin and padding to your elements according to the size of the block.
Thanks Eling!
