I updated my w3 total cache plugin to the lastest update and it slowed my site to the point that the pages weren’t loading. I deactivated for now – but do you know of any reasons this could have happened? Are there any plugin conflicts that you are aware of – I’m using wordpress, divi, and woo commerce.

    Thanks,
    Libby

    Hello Libby,

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.

There are no issues with the mentioned setup as W3 Total Cache works great with the Divi and wooCommerce.

Have you tried purging the cache once the plugin was updated? I’ve tried checking your website, however, I was blocked by the wordfence.

Was W3 Total Cache the only plugin you updated?

Sorry for all these questions, we just need more information to troubleshoot the issue and assist you with this problem.

    Thanks!

I should add that my site speed is now an E after updating and then deactivating.

    Hi Marko,

I did not purge the cache once the plugin was updated. Have you tried purging the cache once the plugin was updated? I’ve tried checking your website, however, I was blocked by the wordfence.

Yes, W3 Total Cache was the only plugin I updated. My site speed was at a C, so I was hoping the update would help. I just reactivated it and tried to purge the cache but it was just spinning and didn’t seem to be doing anything, so I deactivated it again. Do you want me to deactivate wordfence so you can look at it?

    Hello Libby,

Thank you very much for the information.
Yes, please deactivate the restriction so I can check the website. To confirm, you are testing the website on Gtmetrix?
Can you please re-enable the W3 Total Cache save all settings and purge the cache in W3TC settings and let me know so I can check the website and test the performance?
    Thanks!

Okay, I deactivated wordfence, re-activated W3 total cache and purged all caches. It seems to be stuck in the purging process but hopefully that will be completed soon. Please let me know what you discover.

I’ve checked your website and it’s loading just fine and the testing results look good.

Can you please share what you are seeing?
    Thanks!
