After I enabled the minify option (Minification can decrease the file size of HTML, CSS, JS, and feeds respectively by ~10% on average) in W3 Total Cache it deleted a big part of the CSS code.
Along with this option, I have also enabled – object cache.
The problem is that when I go into the elementor and try to edit everything seems normal and looks like nothing ever changed. But when I log in from another browser (to view the website as a visitor) I can see a lot of pieces of content missing. How can I restore the lost CSS code?January 23, 2023 at 12:40 pm #77055Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Slaveya,
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
This means that the minified CSS needs to be rebuilt or the cache needs to be purged once the content is charged/edited.
I am not seeing the minify enabled now checking the website you shared, however, if the issue is gone when Minify is enabled, re-enable minify, and disable the settings in Performance>minify one by one (HTML minify, JS minify, CSS minify) and see which one might be causing the issue.
Make sure to save all settings and purge the cache after each option is disabled.
The code is not lost and W3 Total Cache does not remove any of the original CSS or JS, it only minifies the assets.

I have tried to purge the cache but it didn’t work. After that, I deleted the plugin. Is it going to cause any problems if I download the plugin again? If not, when I download it again are the settings going to be the same? I mean will I be able to minify HTML, js, and CSS one by one?

Thank you for your feedback.
I would advise finishing any editing you have regarding the styling of your website (colors, menus, formats, fonts) and once the design of the website is done, enable minify, and check the settings withing the Peformance>Minify for fine-tuning. Always remember to save all settings and purge the cache after each setting is changed.
Thanks!January 24, 2023 at 10:07 am #77121Slaveya MilanovaGuestHello Marko,
First of all, I have started by downloading a plugin to back up the website before doing any changes and to make sure the content won’t be lost. Then, I tried to re-enable the minify option and put it on manual. Then opened the Performance->minify tab and I posted these codes in the box “Never minify the following JS files to this”
wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/assets/js/*
wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/assets/lib/*
wp-content/plugin/elementor/assets/js/*
wp-content/plugin/elementor/assets/lib/*And for the box “Never minify the following CSS files to this:”
wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/assets/css/*
wp-content/plugins/elementor-pro/assets/lib/*
wp-content/plugin/elementor/assets/css/*
wp-content/plugin/elementor/assets/lib/*This disabled the settings -> CSS, JS, and HTML. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
Then I went back to disable the minify option and left it on manual.
I tried to enable it again and enable(check) the boxes for CSS, JS, and HTML one by one and then disable them again manually. Nothing worked. Our website still has the same problem.
Do you have any other idea what it could be?
I am looking forward to your answer! -
