I have a licence purchased and use W3 total cache. I want to add Stackpath CDN to it.
I am getting the issue that I receive the message “W3 Total Cache has detected that you do not have a CDN configured”
After enabling / disabling the CDN settings in the general section and clearing the cache: the ‘authorize’ button has no effect / nothing happens when clicking on it.May 10, 2021 at 12:11 pm #37579Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Gertjan,
Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
The mentioned notification is in the Stackpath Dashboard widget and it’s only suggesting that CDN is not enabled.
First, you need to signup to Stackpath and follow this guide to set up the Stackpath CDN with W3 Total Cache.
The possible issue with the Authorize button is that it may not work in languages other than English so you should switch your dashboard language to English and try to authorize the Stackpath credentials.
I hope this helps!
Thanks!May 11, 2021 at 4:32 am #37615Gertjan – Smaak van de Wereld –GuestHi Marko,
On Stackpath side all is ok (confirmed with them). I switched my locale to English-UK for the WP-admin profile as you suggested. Funny enough: all is now in English except for W3 total cache plugin 🙂
I disabled / enabled -> came back in Dutch
I removed / re-installed with WP-plugin mananger (download via WP) -> came back in Duth
I removed / downloaded from your website and uploaded the file -> after install it mentioned it needed to do some translations to Dutch -> came back in DutchSo..happy to try in English but how ???
It is this button that is not working
<input class=”w3tc_cdn_stackpath2_authorize button-primary” type=”button” value=”Autoriseren”>May 11, 2021 at 4:33 am #37618Gertjan – Smaak van de Wereld –GuestUpdate: I got this working by switching the complete language-locale to UK-US and not just my admin-user.
Stackpath dashboard tells me to configure DNS settings for my site. Is this necessary with your plugin?
May 11, 2021 at 4:36 am #37622Marko VasiljevicKeymasterHello Gertjan,
Thank you for the information. I was going to suggest that or delete the w3-total-cache language in /wp-content/languages/plugins.
If you want to use full site delivery, then yes you should configure the DNS settings as well. If you however only wish to serve static assets from the CDN like JS/CSS files and images, you should follow the steps in the article provided in the previous post.
THanks!May 12, 2021 at 11:05 am #37710Gertjan Van den BergGuestMany thanks! This works now. I run into another challenge and will open an new threat for this.
