Hi – Just a few days ago I installed the W3 TotalCache plugin on my WordPress website. I’ve been checking the site using GTMetrix, and one thing it kept telling me to do is use a CDN…so I used the link in the plugin to sign up for Stackpath. I configured the plugin and Stackpath as noted — Stackpath says that changing the @ and www DNS records isn’t necessary: “If you are only using Stackpath through plugins or adding, these steps are optional and can be ignored”.
Well, looking at W3 Total Cache, it shows the “CDN through Stackpath is currently disabled”, although if I click the test CDN button it tests OK. So do I need to change my @ and www DNS records anyway to the edge server?
I can send screenshots if necessary.

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
The notification you are seeing suggests that the CDN is not enabled in Performance>General settings:
So make sure that the CDN option is enabled and Stackath is selected under the CDN type, save all settings, and purge the cache.
Also, make sure to check this article about how to setup Stackpath with W3 Total Cache.
