I am a developer working on https://keytiger.com website. On this site, we are using .php extensions for wordpress page urls like https://keytiger.com/aboutus.php. So, before installing or purchasing W3 Total Cache plugin, I want to know whether plugin functions like caching, lazyloading, optimization, minifying, etc. will work for these pages or we have to update the permalink structure of our site.
    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help! I am sorry for the late reply
The W3 Total Cache works with any URL structure. There should be no issues with this so I would suggest giving it a go and please let us know if you experience any issues

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.
I have checked reviews of your plugin and found that many users are facing issue of large number of cache files created on their site by this plugin which breaks down their sites. So, could please let me know the reason behind this large number of files?
How this plugin handle cache files?
Is old cache files deleted automatically?
can we try free version of this plugin first? will it also delete cache files automatically?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback.
This was the problem if some features were enabled and using Disk for caching.
Generally, it’s not recommended to use the Disk caching method for Object Caching and DB Caching, and instead to use memory-based caching like Redis or Memcached.
To answer your question, this was fixed, and yes, the plugin deletes the expired files automatically. And of course, it’s not a premium feature so it’s also available in the community version
    Thanks!
