Hello
After I installed the Monument theme on my site, I immediately made a child theme following these instrux. Then I began populating the site with pages etc.
Why does the primary menu appear horizontally in the child theme but not on the main theme? What do I need to adjust this?
Also, I would need some pointers to do the following,
- Adjust the left margin or padding of the primary menu so it appears underneath the site logo
- Change the background of the menu and the email/phone box to white
- Place the email/phone info under the Flickr and LinkedIn icons (which is where I’d like to have this info)
- Make the large square image as well as the special thanks link on the front page fit within the browser window and not spill over at the bottom.
Thank you very much in advance
Philip

Sorry for the problem with the menu.

I’m not 100% sure what you did to get the menu like this. I would recommend rebuilding the menu using the menu option in Customize. When I add menus there, they are always vertical in that theme.
If you are unable to to use the customize feature fore any of the requests below, then you will need to customize it via CSS or by adjusting the the theme code. I found a post here via online search where they discuss possible solutions. Keep in mind that, as in most custom issues, you will have to test and work your way through issues since we do not provide coding solutions for customization requests.

Apologies that we do not have direct solutions for your customization requests.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
