Hello Esh Qa,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with a parent menu item link when using a mobile device. I was able to test and confirm this behavior.
Unfortunately, I do not have a fix for you, but I did submit the issue as a bug to the development team so they can correct it for the next release.
Kindest Regards,
Scott MadminMemberHello kasalian,
Thank you for your question on how to remove a white box after removing a menu. Can you provide a bit more information so we can duplicate the issue? What specific theme are you using?

Thank you for your question about working with menus in BoldGrid. We actually have an article with a lot of detailed information about working with menus, as well as information about Editing and Adding Menus.

adminMemberHello Dave,
Thank you for your question about customizing the header of the Hydra theme. I am glad to hear that you’re enjoying BoldGrid! You could set the CSS position for the class “site-header” to be ‘static’ if you wish for this section to remain stationary.

Thank you for your question about moving your page to staging. Log into your WordPress admin dashboard, and go to the Pages section. From there you can either hover over the page you wish to move to Staging, and click Copy to Staging, or you can click Edit, then set your Development Group to Staging, and finally click Update.

adminMemberHello Charles,
Thank you for your question about your BoldGrid editor not loading. Which editor exactly are you referring to? What steps are you taking that consistently produce this issue? What does your PHP error or other log files say when you have this error?

adminMemberHello tblount,
Thank you for your questions on adding meta data for Google verification, your SEO data save and the H1 tag issue. I am happy to answer those for your.
When editing WordPress pages and posts, you are not able to edit the HTML header or footer area code by default. The content for those start in the Body portion of the generated HTML. To add a Google meta tag for validation, you would need a plugin to do the work for you. You can do a search on the Add New area of your plugin section and search for the term ‘Insert Headers and Footers’. There are different ones to choose from that will allow you to enter things into the header area of your site.
With the SEO data saving, I have tested and cannot duplicate that issue. All my data changes are saving normally. Have you tested different BoldGrid themes? If it still occurs on different themes, check and see which other plugins you have installed. Disable the non-Boldgrid plugins and see if it works. If it does, re-enable the plugins one at a time and test the save portion. Once you enable a specific plugin and the test fails, that last plugin will be the one that is causing the issue.
With the H1 tag issue, you will want to start your headers on your page with the H2 tag. The title itself will use the H1 tag, and that does not show in the editable portion of the page or post editor. This will solve the error suggestion in the SEO plugin.
Kindest Regards,
Scott M

Thank you for your question about publishing a BoldGrid staging post or page. Have you updated your WordPress to the latest version? Are your BoldGrid plugins up to date as well? Do you have any other 3rd party plugins installed?

Thank you for your question on getting images to show when sharing to Faebook. When working with posts, at the bottom right (or bottom, depending on screen size) you will see a place for “Featured Image” This is how you set the image that posts show above the body. When this image is set, Facebook will use it by default as the image it displays when the post is shared.
This is a WordPress specific thing, so it works the same whether you are using BoldGrid or not.
If you are having issues with the post share, Facebook has a sharing debugger. This can help with the shared image. You may need to visit it and click the ‘rescrape’ button if you have recently changed the featured image after sharing.
The debugger is located at:

adminMemberHello alexprobb,
Gridblocks are added in Sections. The section menu is the small gray handle. Click on the right side (the modification menu) and you will see a Delete option. Click that and the entire GridBlock section will be removed. All drag handles (Red – element, Blue – column, Yellow – row,and Gray – Gridblock) have a Delete option for their specific item. This way you can just remove the exact content you want and leave the rest.

adminMemberHello Monroe Arts Council,
Thank you for your question on setting the alignment for submenus. You can adjust the behavior of anything in the theme via the custom CSS tool. This is located in the Advanced tab of the Customizer. Here is where you can make any changes you want to see to the different elements.
Kindest Regards,
Scott MadminMemberHello Monroe Arts Council,
Thank you for your question on how to use tables in BoldGrid. BoldGrid is a plugin suite for WordPress which adds layers on top of the traditional WordPress editor for pages and posts.
You can always add normal HTML and CSS within the Text tab. The CSS can be overwritten by using the Advanced Tab in the Customizer. There, you can add your own custom CSS and JS. This will supersede the other CSS in the theme.
As far as the TH and TD settings, these can be different for each theme depending on the intention of the design. You can always override that in the custom area.
You say you are having some issues with come changes taking place. Where are you placing these changes? What theme are you using? What specific changes are you making that are not working?

Thank you for your question about extra rows on your BoldGrid site. I took a look and these look like placeholder for the “Below Site Title” widget area. If you were to add a widget to that area, you would see those DIV containers fill in with the widget code.

Thank you for your question about editing the stock content on your default page. That specific page seems to be named ‘Home’. You can find this in the page list and the content can be edited using the BoldGrid editor.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Attributions page displaying in Google. You can disable that within your Google Webmaster tools. They have a tool called the Remove URLs Tool that you can use.Kindest Regards,

adminMemberHello ticlebella,
Thank you for your question on adding additional search criteria in the search widget. The default search widget for WordPress does not have these types of features. You will want to take a look at the Plugins directory for WordPress and search for the keyword ‘Advanced Search’. This will provide a list of plugins you can look through to see if any of them meet your requirements.

adminMemberHello globalbedding,
Thank you for your question on editing your header content in the Evolv theme.
There is not much call for editing the template itself. If you are going to add content to the template or change the core structure, that would require an edit. If you are looking to change the behavior of the existing content (move it around slightly, change font face or size, change colors, add background image or colors, etc) then you would need to edit the CSS.The CSS editor is located in the Advnced tab of the Customizer. Just go there, click the Custom CSS button, and add the behavior you want for the “site-branding” class. This will change the behavior for that specific div in the header.

Thank you for your question regarding phone and live support. BoldGrid does not have a Live Support system in place currently. If you are a customer of one of our preferred hosts, then they offer full support. You will simply need to contact their support team for assistance.

Thank you for your question about copying the Active site customizations to your Staging site. Currently, this is not a feature that BoldGrid offers, but I have already spoken to our development team, and the feature request has been submitted to our development team. Hopefully, they will be able to implement this swiftly, as we know it will be of assistance to you and other customers as well!

adminMemberHello Merlin,
Thank you for your question about the “Special Thanks” link missing from your site. This is not an issue that I’ve heard of before, but do you have a Staging site setup? Have you tried installing a new theme to the Staging site that you have? Have you tried installing the same theme as your Active site to Staging?
Finally, if you would like to share your domain here that is fine, but this is indeed a publicly accessible page.

Thank you for your question regarding updates to the Linx theme. It appears that this theme was indeed adjusted, and now takes up the right-hand section of the Below Header area. However, you are free to remove this widget, and add your own with the styling that you prefer. There are many options of widgets that you are able to add, and you are completely free to customize as you wish.

adminMemberHello Michelle,
Thank you for your question about missing horizontal lines on your Monument themed site. It appears that by default there are no horizontal lines between posts in the Monument theme. However, you could add your own lines to the bottom of each post, add them to the top of every non-most recent post, or perhaps see if there is another theme that suits your needs that does have horizontal lines as an alternative.

Thank you for your question about where emails for the Ninja Forms go, and using an SEO plugin. The form submissions for your web page forms should go to the admin email address that you setup when you initially installed BoldGrid / WordPress.
As to the SEO plugins that you are seeing, I would recommend disabling one of the plugins, as having both active will likely cause conflicts.

adminMemberHello Lisa,
Thank you for your question regarding adding a font to your BoldGrid site. There is currently no way to add a custom font to BoldGrid, but we do have a lot of options available already. I would recommend checking to see if one may be close enough to your desired font to be used for your site.

Thank you for your question about facebook not having a photo of your site. It appears that this can be addressed from facebook’s end by using the “Sharing Debugger”. Note: You will need to be logged into your facebook to access this page.

adminMemberHello Hilary,
Thank you for your question regarding a single page theme. I am not aware of any theme that would easily allow you to do so, but please feel free to browse our available themes to see if one may come close to meeting your needs. Also, keep in mind that ‘single page’ will vary from device to device, and even computer to computer based on pixel density, screen size, and so on.

adminMemberHello sonia3,
Thank you for your question about missing purchased images, and differences when viewing your site versus customizing it. Have you ensured that you’re using the latest version of BoldGrid? Does this issue happen in a specific browser, or does it affect others as well? Which browser are you using when you see this issue? Do you have more than one installation of BoldGrid? Specifically, what images are missing from your library?

adminMemberHello Psycedelic77,
Thank you for your question regarding your font color in typing fields using the Hydra theme. I was able to install a current version of the Hydra theme and did not see the issue you described. You may wish to update your BoldGrid installation, BoldGrid themes, as well as WordPress, and try adjusting your theme colors with the BoldGrid customizer if the update does not help.

adminMemberHello gazamia,
Thank you for your question about changing the capitalization of your heading and menu fonts. If you are updated to the latest version of BoldGrid, you can adjust the capitalization of your menu, and header fonts via the Fonts menu in the BoldGrid Customizer. Once there, simply select either Menus, Headings, Subheadings, and adjust the Capitalization setting to your preference.

Thank you for your question about having an additional development ‘sandbox’ to develop in. Currently, BoldGrid does not offer a 3rd option like this. We may offer something similar in the future, but I am not aware of any specific plan to do so as of yet.

Thank you for your question about outdated search engine results. It seems like you need to request for Google to re-crawl your site. Once Google has re-crawled your site, you should see the updated results in your search results.

adminMemberHello pingram3541,
Thank you for your question regarding editing the functions.php, and style.css files for your BoldGrid site. You can do this with the most recent version of BoldGrid by going to the WordPress dashboard, hovering over Customize, and clicking on CSS/HTML Editor. From there you will see a drop-down list of themes that you have to edit, as well as the list of files for the currently selected theme.
I was not able to find an article, or write-up about using child themes for BoldGrid specifically, but we do have one for WordPress in general. However, please keep in mind that I’m not able to advise on the differences or limitations of using these instructions with BoldGrid in mind.

Thank you for your question about BoldGrid compatibility with the Popup Maker plugin. I’m am not sure whether or not BoldGrid is compatible with the Popup Maker plugin or not, but it sounds there is a conflict somewhere. While we try to maintain as wide a compatibility as we can, unfortunately we are not able to have 100% compatibility.

adminMemberBrian, I was unable to include HTML in a reply to your comment above, so I have included this here. Brian, I copied the following from the staging setup I have of the Pavilion – Real Estate theme:
<div class=”phone”><p class=”h3 alt-font”><i class=”fa fa-phone”></i> Call Today <span class=”phone-number”>777-765-4321</span></p></div>
adminMemberHello,
Thank you for your question about a missing menu in your BoldGrid install. Do you have a page where we can see, or in this case not see, the menu? Are you applying the menu positioning to your active site, or the staging site?
