Anonymous UserMemberHi new to bold grid, Im using Wedge consulting inspiration and on the site title and logo page under the text is a transparent white block that is covering the background photo. It is only visible on the mobile display not the computer display. Can i get some advice on this please.
January 18, 2018 at 2:40 am in reply to: Does Boldgrid works with other web hosting company like Hostpapa? #23135Anonymous UserMemberDear Arnel
Appreciate your prompt reply, pardon my duplicate postings as this is my first time using your support center, didn’t know they were successfully sent through.
Thanks for your confirmation on the compatibility of other web hostings with your website builder, I have already set up an account in BoldGrid Central, will try the rest out with your general instructions given first. Any further issues, can I post them here?
Anonymous UserMemberArnel,
Before updating, all I had to do was to paste a link in the Visual editor. What’s changed?
Another problem after update – the customizer won’t load. See scvreenshot1
Anonymous UserMemberHow boldgrid plugin could be installed and activated on Godaddy working hand in hand with WordPress? Would it be free and fully functional as one is using it in Inmotion for free with no extra charge?
January 14, 2018 at 10:00 am in reply to: How do I set the “og:image” property so that Facebook can show the correct image? #23147Anonymous UserMemberI have set the featured image as you described and it continues to select another image. I’ve refreshed and rescraped. The debugger still gives me the og:image error too
Anonymous UserMemberHi, That’s not quite the answer to my question. Why does only “h2” print on the photo? None of the other “h” options show on image, as selected. Also, I’m not a web designer, I am a web designer out of desperation. How do I learn how these different caption types are best used? And if they perform by default, why can’t they track so you don’t leave words hanging oddly? Or give an indication about the size of the caption?
January 12, 2018 at 12:01 am in reply to: How do I increase the BoldGrid Backup plug-in’s capabilities from 10 GB to 15 GB? #23152Anonymous UserMemberThank you Amel for clarifying the situation.
January 11, 2018 at 11:30 pm in reply to: How do I increase the BoldGrid Backup plug-in’s capabilities from 10 GB to 15 GB? #23153Anonymous UserMemberThank you Amel for the prompt and clear answer! C-panel has a file back-up feature which downloads the complete 13 GB BoldGrid site onto my personal computer as a “.tar.gz” file. Can you let me know if having that file would allow me to restore my BoldGrid site? Thanks again!
Anonymous UserMemberGot it. Thank you Arnel!
Anonymous UserMemberI can’t identify the CSS element with with Chrome inspect. Could you help me with this? Thank you!
Anonymous UserMemberIt appears that the problem fixed only partially. The Blog part of the site is still dim. Please, go to http://utro-svaroga.org , click on “Мировоззрение”, then “Журнал” to see this.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks for that, sorry for the delay on replying
I have yet to try it on a real device, but the same thing happens in your Inspirations theme selector. On the Content tab [when selecting Venetian, Pageset etc.], selecting device from the browser/tablet/smart device icon set, selecting smart device make the Call to Action…

BUSIN
DECISIlook broadly speaking as above.
This can’t be right?
Anonymous UserMemberThe problem is fixed. There was an “!” in the CSS line
{background: ! none}that shouldn’t be there. Thank to my hosting support. And thank you for your help!

Anonymous UserMemberKyle,
That’s exactly what hosting support did first, and I tried it later. It didn’t change anything.

Anonymous UserMemberHello Christopher,
It’s been like this for long time, but didn’t bother me as it didn’t affect the overall look of the site. But now I need to change the background, and this glitch is on my way. My hosting company tech support tried to help: “… I was able to locate the cause of the “dimming” as a background put in place on the pages themselves which were obscuring the image. I was able to force the site to stop doing this by adding the following coding within the CSS for the site:
body.palette-primary.page-template-default .hentry {background: ! none}That didn’t fix it.
” Checking the site I see that the coding to negate the background of the pages was being ignored by the theme. Checking further I was able to locate and update the css file at /home/utrosv5/public_html/wp-content/themes/boldgrid-evolv/css/color-palettes.css to make the background transparent. Checking the site directly I see that this is being applied to the site at this time.
Please keep in mind, at my discretion I have done this as a courtesy as the page background is standard for the theme being used. The Support department does not assist with site theme coding or customization. No further assistance regarding theme customization will be provided moving forward.”
It worked until I started editing the color scheme. When I started editing Footer’s color, the problem came back.
Hope, this info will help.

Anonymous UserMemberI can do that, but if the images need to be right-sized, then why is there a crop feature?
I re-sized my pictures, deleted the old block, inserted a new block, changed the pictures to the right-sized images, and now the new block has larger images than an older, identical block. The page looks great in the Add Blocks window, but not in the editing window or on the actual site. I took pictures, but can’t seem to insert them here.
Anonymous UserMemberI am having this issue with the Grid One theme, WordPress 4.9.1, and BoldGrid on inMotion hosting. Most of the photos seem to size correctly, automatically. They look right when I am editing the page, but not when I view the actual page. I replace the photos in the editing page, select the photo, choose the change image icon, select the image, crop, and complete the change. Some pictures come out right, some too small, and some too large. Do I need to size the photos prior to uploading them?
Anonymous UserMemberWhile waiting, I did some more Google’ing about the lack of curl. On my system
sudo apt-get install php-curl Solved the problem
Installation complete!
Thanks for the help, but I really should not have had these issues on such a standard and commonly used platform.I’m going to try to understand Boldgrid now (I am sure there will be more questions!)
Anonymous UserMemberThanks Arnel. I figured out the problem.
Both of those pages were using the HOME template. All of my other pages use the DEFAULT TEMPLATE. In the last update to Boldgrid, I believe that your developers tweaked something that affected the BoldGrid blocks in the HOME template.
I switched those pages to DEFAULT TEMPLATE and all is well now. Hopefully you can look into whatever happened to the HOME template.
Appreciate your help!
Anonymous UserMemberSpoke too soon! It hangs again, error is:

Anonymous UserMemberWith boldgrid, i have a button, i want to add another button to the right of it. I am using the + add button and it keeps placing it on different rows.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks, Arnel
php error logging was on, no error_log path set. Now have this.
I did try other inspirations. As I type, I am trying Resolve, Base, no Blog, Free. As the main website.
No log again (in the “Installing your new content” WordPress page. Nothing written to the php log. Maybe things need to be restarted, so I restart the VM. I then get this in the php error log…

January 3, 2018 at 4:00 am in reply to: Custom HTML text box in Advanced footer settings is no longer visible #23235Anonymous UserMemberHi, I meant the advanced features in the Customizer. I used to be able to add custom html there but can’t seem to find it since the updates. Basically, I need to change the date in my footer.
Thanks,
Shona
Anonymous UserMemberThe truth is boldgrid is not built for bloggers. I am sorry to say this, the designers must have means to build boldgrid to help for building any blog pages easily.
Thanks.
Anonymous UserMemberI have the same problem – deleted section- but is unpublished. Not sure how to undelete.
Anonymous UserMemberTo adjust the font size, I put the cursor over the content so those edit tabs appeared, and I selected the orange one. It does the same thing as what the video shows. Never-the-less, I tried the method in the video and it behaved in the same fashion. It would be great if I could upload pictures here.
I have WordPress 4.9.1 installed.
Boldgrid Editor 1.6
Boldgrid Inspirations 1.5.2
BoldGrid SEO 1.5
Loginizer 1.3.8
Mailchimp for wordpress 4.1.12
The following are installed and deactivated:
Akismet Anti-spam 4.0.1
WPForms Lite 1.4.3
Anonymous UserMemberhttp://www.keyportcitizensofaction.org is the page in question.
I go to the page editor.
I select the menu for “Edit Content”.
I select “Font”.
I then move the slider for “Font Size”.
The method shown in the link you provided does work, but I would like to have the flexibility of changing the fonts on the page. The method in the link is very limited. And I expect to have that ability given the option is programmed into Boldgrid.
Anonymous UserMemberI just installed Boldgrid and this is the first time.
December 12, 2017 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Where I could find the Custom Footer HTML area in the latest version of WEDGE theme? #23319Anonymous UserMemberThank Arnel for the answer.
My big problem is that I added several links and the contact information in the footer area under the footer menu using the Custom Footer HTML option (WEDGE V1.12.1). Now, I need to modify the email displayed in that area and I can not do it because that option was removed from WEDGE V1.13.1. Check my site (http://leadinforce.com) to see what I am talking about.
I tried to add a new widget including the updated links and contact information but Boldgrid adds it before the footer menu, duplicating the information in the footer area.
Any help with that problem will be welcome.
Thanks,

December 7, 2017 at 7:52 pm in reply to: Where do I find the $parent_style value when creating a child theme? #23337Anonymous UserMemberHi John-Paul,
Thanks for the response, and that’s exactly what I did, but WordPress said that the Diced theme was not installed, thus my confusion. How do I find out exactly what value the theme is using?
Anonymous UserMemberI’m having the same issue. Any fixes?
December 7, 2017 at 11:39 am in reply to: I was unable to customize my pages after updating to WordPress version 4.9.1 #23346Anonymous UserMemberI am having a similar issue. When I make changes in “Customize” / “Active Site” such as a header change, there is no “publish” button. Their is only an “X” and that make me lose all my changes. WordPress 4.9.1, BoldGrid Editor 1.6.
December 6, 2017 at 6:22 pm in reply to: I was unable to customize my pages after updating to WordPress version 4.9.1 #23348Anonymous UserMemberBold Grid Editor 1.6 and Bold Grid inspirations 1.5.2. I checked to make sure I have the most recent updates. I see the same result on IE 11 as I do on Chrome. I cannot find a plug in to update the themes. (I am using Cobalt if that mattters.)
December 6, 2017 at 3:47 pm in reply to: I was unable to customize my pages after updating to WordPress version 4.9.1 #23350Anonymous UserMemberI also lost the options under Customize after upgrading to WordPress 4.9.1. I cannot make edits to my main menu. I am using Google Chrome and just deleted all cache and stored files and restarted the browser. The issue still exists.
Anonymous UserMemberThanks, I figured out the direction problem. There was a second menu in which I had to make the changes. Still cannot figure out the menu color issue. It makes no sense that the menus don’t use selected color scheme for the template.
